We use 1st Class Royal Mail as standard which normally takes between 1-3 working days. Large Orders on free delivery will be sent via UK Mail couriers on a 2-3 day service.
If express delivery is selected for the additional cost smaller items will be sent Special delivery with Royal Mail and Larger items will be sent with UK Mail Couriers on a next day service, 98% of orders get through next day on our express service.
Our cut off time for express deliveries is 12.30 PM weekdays. We can supply you with tracking numbers for this service upon request via email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Express delivery is only available on orders placed Monday to Thursday. This service is available in UK mainland only. Express delivery is available for delivery the next day up until 4pm. Delivery is usually secured within 48 working hours. It is also charged at £6.99, Please email us on email@example.com for your tracking information. This option is unavailable on Bank and National Holidays.
You agree to check the goods on receipt and inform us of any obvious external cosmetic damage following inspection of the goods. If there is any obvious cosmetic external damage to the goods at the time of delivery then you agree to note these on the delivery paperwork or refuse the delivery.
Signing the delivery note to accept receipt, allowing our drivers time to unpack the goods and confirming you have inspected them for any obvious external cosmetic damage are conditions of the sale and we reserve the right not to complete the delivery if you refuse these conditions. If you refuse delivery then the goods will be returned and all monies paid will be refunded.
Once items have been delivered to you will become to owner of the goods you have ordered. At this point they will be held at your own risk and we will be not being liable for their loss or destruction.
Please note; under no circumstances will express delivery be refunded if delivery was made on time or delivery was attempted
Any order placed outside the UK mainland will be charged an additional postage cost, which we will be displayed clearly before the checkout process. This postage cost is an economy delivery and we aim to secure deliveries within 2-6 weeks.
You must comply and obtain all necessary customs, import or other permits to purchase goods from our site. We do not accept liability in respect to exporting or importing of goods you purchase.
Smaller items are sent via Airsure signed for with Royal Mail (where available). You should receive your items within 10 working days, but can sometimes take a bit longer depending on where you are.
For larger orders we use TNT and UK Mail and these should be delivered in less than 5 days. We can upgrade smaller items to this service should you require. Please email us as soon as your order has been processed and we will put this on to a express Worldwide delivery.

The prices quoted are those ruling at the time of production. Due to circumstances beyond our control, prices may have to be altered up or down, including any alterations to the rate of value added tax. Orders with delivery address abroad will be charged a delivery cost which will be stated clearly before the payment process.
Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 you have the right to cancel your order within a period of 14 days. The period of 14 days begins on the day you receive your goods. Please be aware that your right to cancel does not apply to certain goods that we sell, for example, items made to your order. You must inform us of your wish to cancel in writing by letter within a period of 14 days. The period of 14 days begins on the day you receive your goods. You must take reasonable care of the goods and not use them. We need your goods returned to us withing this 14 day period with the returns form filled in from our website or similar form completed with order details filled in. If you have received goods before you cancel your contact then you must return goods to us in their original packaging, wherever possible, as soon as possible after informing us of your wish to cancel. If you return goods to us, we will not be responsible for any loss or damage to them during transit. If goods are lost or damaged in transit, we may charge you, or not refund to you, amounts that are attributable to the loss or damage. If in the event you cancel your contact however your order has already been processed and dispatched you must not open the goods upon receipt and must send them back to us at your own cost and risk to our returns department address. This can be found on the bottom right hand side of the homepage.
No refunds will be issued on items made to your own specification or made to order. Returned items which are not in new or unused condition may not be credited to your account unless they are faulty.
We reserve all rights to cancel the contact between us if it is found to be the case that either we have insufficient stock to deliver the goods you have ordered or we do not deliver to your area. If in the event that we do cancel your contact we will notify you by email, and you will receive a re-credit to your card as soon as possible, within 30 days of your order being placed.
We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.
Upon receipt of your order you discover that the items you have received are incorrect, damaged, defect or if you have received the incorrect quantity, please notify us via email to email@example.com. In the event of non-delivery of goods please contact us after 20 working days, where you will have the choice to accept the following:
- Resend a non-delivery via economy postage.
- Refund you for the item that is missing in the order in which ever way we choose including credit note.
Sometimes unfortunately items you have order may be out of stock and you will be sent a suitable alternative item, at an equal value or greater. We can only apologize for the inconvenience of the original ordered item for being out of stock. We will be unable to be held responsible for return postage of these alternative items.
As the customer you must notify us via written letter sent to the company address (at the top of the page) stating cancellation of your order and a reason. This must be done within 14 working days from receipt of goods to obtain a refund.
Please note; items sent back without a written letter being sent prior to the return of goods, will only qualify for a full refund if they include the returns form correctly filled out along with the goods and must be received by the returns department within 14 days for a refund. Returns, received without a prior letter of cancellation, after 14 days from receipt will be either issued with a credit note or refused. We are unable to accept cancellations via email.
If you wish to arrange for goods to be returned, please download the returns form situated on the homepage of www.formaltailor.com where instructions on how to return your order to us will be provided. Once we receive the returned product, we will replace or refund as required. The correct returns address is situated on this form as well.
We aim to process refunds within 30 days of receiving the returned item(s)
- Goods must be returned in good condition, carefully repacked in the original packaging undamaged and unworn.
- We strongly recommend that you request and retain proof posting for any items returned.
- No returns will be accepted at our registered address please return to the returns department the delivery address can be found on the returns form.
- We will not reimburse post & packaging costs that you occur when returning the items.
- On occasion items not meeting the terms and conditions will be issued with a credit note or sent back to the individual.
Returns that we have been notified after 14 days of receipt will only be able to exchange for another size, or colour. As a customer you will be entitled to one free exchange per order, meaning you will not need to pay for the item to be sent back out to your delivery address on a standard economy delivery 10-14 days. An exchange will happen once the unwanted item(s) has been received which you will be responsible for the postage cost and ensuring the item is safely received. In the event that you would like to exchange an item after you have used the one free exchange we will contact you with postage cost quotes which you will be able to choose which one you would like to pay for. Payment can be made over the phone on 01869360444. If you would like a quicker exchange we can offer you a 48 hour delivery which is a further £6.99. The one free exchange offer is unfortunately unavailable to customers with delivery addresses outside UK mainland, you the customer will be contacted with postage quotes once an item has been received safely. Unfortunately once an exchange item has been sent we will no longer be able to issue to refund if the item was to be returned again.
